I was so sad recently when my beloved antique 1960's model Fidelity record player started to show it's age and go a bit skewiff. It's still (thankfully) in working condition, but it wears out quickly before it needs adjusting again and could definitely do with a full on service. It got me thinking about how expensive the upkeep of antique electronics can be, and how miserable I've been not being able to play my vinyl collection as often as I'd like, so as I had been given some Christmas money I decided to treat myself to a brand new player.

Aesthetics are important to me and I didn't want a modern looking eyesore, so I was quickly charmed by Crosley's line and I truly couldn't be happier! Orange is one of my favourite colours so naturally was the colour I had to scoop up, and it fits into my home perfectly. It feels so good to finally be able to play my records completely worry free again!
That is a very nice record player indeed. Tops for choosing orange, and I love that little Ringo you have sitting next to it!
ReplyDeleteoh that it such a cute record player! I have a funny pretend radio looking one that i got off ebay.
ReplyDeletei love your blog and illustrations btw! I found you via Lucy's blog (Carnebetian army)
What a wonderful color and style. I've admired Crosley's line for quite some time now. I just love how they make their players look vintage, even if they sport modern players for cds and tapes. The color is great as well
